PASTIC is the pioneer of cloud computing in the field of library and information sciences in Pakistan, it was started the using of cloud computing during the working of PakCat (Union catalogue of the Pakistani book), this is the part of the PASTIC project titled “Modernization of PASTIC National Science Reference Library with Effective Resource sharing” Dated 2-08-2017.

PASTIC customized the Koha library automation software for local need with the consolation of Pakistani library professionals in this connection PASTIC held a meeting of library professionals under the Consortium of S&T and R&D libraries of Pakistan dated 18th October 2017, after the decision of consortium members.
