A consortium built for collaboration
A Consortium of Science & Technology and Research & Development Libraries of Pakistan (CSTRDLP) is developed for promoting resource sharing among libraries through up-grading library standards and capacity building of librarians, in order to facilitate the scientific research community.
Tools such as a digital repository of indigenous S&T material and a Union Online Public Access Catalogue (Union OPAC) of books available in Pakistani libraries are developed for consortium members.
Developed under the PSDP project “Modernization of PASTIC National Science Reference Library for Effective Resource Sharing among S&T Libraries in Pakistan,” executed by the Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC), Islamabad.
Our Purpose
CSTRDLP exists to connect the country's science, technology and R&D libraries into a single cooperative network — so that no institution works in isolation and every researcher can reach a wider pool of knowledge.
- Develop secondary resources, including a digital repository of indigenous literature
- Create a Union Online Public Access Catalogue (Union OPAC) for books and monographs
- Generate a union list of international scientific databases subscribed by Pakistan's S&T and R&D organizations
